About Alex
Alex is a British commercial photographer based in Dubai, working across the UAE, GCC and wider region. For more than twenty years he has specialised in luxury hospitality, interiors and architectural photography, producing imagery for global hotel brands, leading design studios and major architectural practices.
His work is built around producing images that do a job, whether supporting hotel pre opening campaigns, strengthening brand positioning, documenting architecture and interiors, or creating image libraries designed for long term commercial value.
Approved by leading global luxury hospitality brands, Alex holds brand approvals across Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio, Autograph Collection and Luxury Collection, alongside Accor, Hilton, Mandarin Oriental, Minor Hotels and Radisson, and is locally approved by Emaar Hotels & Resorts and Rotana. Brand approval at this level is earned through years of consistent delivery across multiple properties, working alongside marketing teams, designers and operators.
Alongside hospitality and interiors, Alex has developed a recognised specialism in lighting design photography, collaborating with leading lighting designers to create imagery that has supported international awards and industry recognition.
Photography in the pre-digital era taught one thing above all else. Get it right in camera. No safety net, no fixing it later. That discipline stays with every shoot today. A background in graphic design added something else early on, an understanding of composition, of where the eye travels, of how an image needs space to breathe and where typography will sit when the image goes to print or screen. That training sharpens how a shot is framed before the shutter is pressed. Twenty years working across the Middle East, in some of the region’s most demanding hotels and most complex architectural spaces, has built on that foundation. A genuine understanding of how these buildings are designed to feel, how the light works in this region, and what a hospitality brand actually needs from its images. Not decoration. Not just nice pictures. Images that do a job.

Alex holds Fellowship qualifications with the British Institute of Professional Photography and the Master Photographers Association, certification with the Federation of European Professional Photographers and membership in the X-Rite Coloratti group.
Every project is approached with technical precision, colour accuracy and a strong understanding of how photography must perform across brand, PR, marketing and digital platforms, including increasingly AI-driven search environments.
