This image taken with my Nikon AF-S 24-70mm f/2.8, 1/500 at F5. Shot in Al Ain Oasis, the dates were hand picked a few seconds before the shot. Hand picked!

Ramadan the holiest month of the Muslim calendar is such a great time to be in Dubai, to be in Al Ain is even more exciting. In the Oases the dates are being harvested now and are perfectly ripe for picking and eating, to visit the garden city at this time of year, even though the sun is so hot, is a magical treat, we were even lucky also to see somebody working on the Falaj.

The month of Ramadan is a great time of the year, a chance to give, a chance to be generous, to forgive, to give thanks, to share.

I’m attending a couple of Iftars at the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding I have to shoot Jumeirah Mosque (looks great for Ramadan, covered in pretty lights – go and see!) and i’ll generally be enjoying the month as much as i can.
