Tile factory worker, Al Quoz
March 13, 2012
Lens 24-70, 1/160 at F11 and a 1,200 W strobe. Such a great subject, happy to pose for me, they all told me they don’t make tiles any more at this place in Al Quoz, they simply sort and stack coal, all day long and live and pray at the back of the yard, along with a couple of tiny kittens that were skipping around.
Love the tonality of this picture, and the expression on his face. I find it so hard to photograph people in the moment without them – or worse, myself – feeling shy. So I find this kind of honest, real life moment photography particularly fascinating.
Thanks Arva, i love this shot too, glad you like it, so many great shots from this day!!
