Creek Harbour, Dubai, United Arab Emirates
As the first 5-star luxury hotel in the prestigious Dubai Creek Harbour, this architectural masterpiece captures the essence of both old and new Dubai. With breathtaking views overlooking the iconic Dubai Creek on one side and the ever-evolving Dubai skyline on the other, it was an exciting challenge to be invited to photograph this remarkable property at its pre-opening stage. This hotel, as the latest addition to the esteemed Address Hotels + Resorts portfolio, was a highly anticipated project. It was crucial to ensure that every image conveyed the hotel’s sophistication and luxury, as well as its position as a leading luxury destination in the city.
Being selected for this project was a tremendous honour, as it meant contributing to one of the most influential and high-profile developments in Dubai’s hospitality sector. Emaar, a company known for setting the bar in luxury real estate and tourism, entrusted me with this responsibility, which speaks volumes about the trust and confidence placed in my ability to deliver exceptional imagery. As a preferred / approved photographer for prestigious hotel brands like Hilton, Accor, and Emaar, I have developed a deep understanding of the hospitality industry’s specific demands. This experience proved invaluable in capturing the true essence of a property still in its final stages of development.
I worked closely with Elena, a seasoned marketing expert at Address Hotels, to navigate the many challenges of shooting in a space still under construction. We had to work quickly and efficiently, often shooting in areas that were still being completed, with multiple teams involved in reviewing and approving the images. This fast-paced environment required precision and flexibility to ensure the final product met the high expectations of both the brand and the client.
A key highlight of the project was capturing the hotel’s breathtaking views, particularly at sunset, which required impeccable timing and technical skill to truly showcase the location’s luxury. With the stunning Dubai skyline and the tranquil Dubai Creek as the backdrop, these views were central to communicating the hotel’s upscale offerings. The images had to convey a sense of elegance and exclusivity, while adhering to tight post-production deadlines.
The Challenge
The challenge involved shooting a luxury hotel still under construction in several areas while working with tight deadlines. With the hotel’s grand opening fast approaching, I had to capture the images within a short timeframe, ensuring they met the high standards of both the brand and the project’s fast-paced timeline. Balancing unfinished spaces with a strict schedule made this a complex yet rewarding project.
The Brief
The brief was to photograph and deliver a complete set of images that would showcase the hotel’s luxury and distinctive features ahead of its official market launch. With the hotel still in the pre-opening stage, the challenge was to capture compelling visuals that highlighted the property’s potential, despite areas still being under construction. Tight deadlines and the need for high-quality imagery for marketing and promotional purposes made this project both time-sensitive and crucial for the hotel’s successful debut.
The Results
The final result was a comprehensive collection of images that captured all key public areas and room categories of the hotel, delivered within the tight deadlines. These images were meticulously crafted to global standards, ensuring the hotel’s luxury, sophistication, and unique design elements were perfectly highlighted. Despite the challenges of shooting in a pre-opening environment, the photos met the high expectations of Emaar and were tailored for use across global marketing platforms, helping to position the hotel as a standout addition to Dubai’s luxury hospitality scene.
