Photographing the Royal Residences at Atlantis The Royal was an incredible opportunity to capture a new standard in luxury living. This exceptional development, located on the crescent of The Palm in Dubai, is set apart by its meticulous design and stunning features, just next to the iconic Atlantis resort. Working seamlessly alongside Sybille de Margerie Interiors, whose visionary approach and dedication to creating luxurious environments is widely recognised, I had the privilege of capturing the unique aesthetic of these residences.

The design embodies luxurious and grand Dubai, with harmonies in silver, gold, and copper reflecting the city’s dazzling poetry. Silver mirrors the dawn’s light, gold reverberates with the midday sun, and copper echoes the sunset. This rich palette is enhanced by the refined accomplishments of five women artists, whose expert works in ceramics, leather, embroidery, and enamel bring the space to life. The blend of noble materials, including elegant silky fabrics, creates a contemporary architectural approach that offers a journey enriched by sensations and emotions.

Capturing these exquisite designs required more than just technical skills; it required an experienced hospitality photographer who truly understands how to bring out the beauty and grandeur of such meticulously designed spaces. As we worked together, my job was not only to capture the physical space but to reflect the very essence of the design – bringing to life the luxurious atmosphere that Sybille de Margerie and her team had created.
 
The images we produced are more than just a portfolio; they are a testament to the dedication of everyone involved in making these residences a reality. Every photograph tells a story of luxury, elegance, and innovative design, showcasing this exceptional project in its finest light.

The Challenge

The challenge of shooting the Royal Residences at Atlantis The Royal involved working in open, active spaces while ensuring minimal disruption. With guests and staff present, it was crucial to capture the luxury and design of the residences seamlessly, balancing lighting and composition. The ability to work quickly and efficiently while respecting the flow of the space was key, ensuring each shot reflected the exceptional design without compromising the atmosphere.

The Brief

The brief from Sybille de Margerie Interiors was to capture architectural and interior photography that showcased the Royal Residences’ luxury, craftsmanship, and design. The goal was to create images that would not only highlight the opulence and elegance of the spaces but also meet the standards of award-winning quality.
