Eden House – The Canal is a project by H&H Development, the company behind the Eden House brand. Set alongside the opening of the Dubai Water Canal in Jumeirah, this collection forms a low-rise, six-storey building within one of Dubai’s most walkable and established neighbourhoods.

The collection comprises 93 meticulously crafted residences, ranging from studio to four-bedroom suites, garden duplex units and three penthouses, alongside seven standalone villas. Each home has been carefully oriented to maximise views across the canal and the wider Dubai skyline, allowing the waterfront setting to shape the resident experience throughout.

The architecture has been designed by DXB Lab, extending the brand’s celebrated architectural language into a contemporary, low-rise form. Interiors combine lightly bronzed glasses, subtly textured stones, rich marbles and brushed metals, curated to create a sense of serenity and timelessness throughout. The result is a collection of homes that balance sophistication with a distinctly residential warmth.

Eden House – The Canal also offers a curated suite of amenities, including a swimming pool, lounge deck, terrace and gym, supported by concierge, housekeeping and 24/7 security for residents. Photography for the project was undertaken by Alex, who is no stranger to luxury canal-side developments, having photographed the Four Seasons Private Residences on the Dubai Water Canal the previous year. That familiarity with the canal’s light, scale and setting informed the approach to Eden House – The Canal, where the same waterfront conditions needed to be read consistently across a much larger and more varied brief.

The Challenge

Eden House – The Canal presented a low-rise, horizontal building set directly against water, a different photographic problem to a tower or a villa compound. The long canal-facing elevation needed to read as a single, cohesive silhouette across multiple images, while interiors finished in bronzed glass, textured stone and brushed metal required consistent colour and light handling from unit to unit, so the full collection felt like one coherent property rather than a series of disconnected shoots.

Access added a further layer of difficulty. With residences occupied or nearing handover, shoot windows had to work around residents and show-ready units, all while natural light on the canal shifted quickly through the day, leaving a narrow window to capture consistent day and sunset conditions across such a wide range of spaces.

The Brief

The brief was to produce a complete image set covering exterior architecture, amenities, show residences and villa interiors, suitable for use across H&H’s marketing collateral and website. Coverage needed to extend across the full range of the property, gym, cinema, pool, lobby and residences, treating the scope closer to a pre-opening hotel launch than a standard residential shoot.

The images needed to work at scale, hero shots for the homepage and campaign material, alongside more granular interior detail suited to brochures and listings. Both day and sunset conditions were required, giving H&H the flexibility to draw atmospheric and functional imagery from the same shoot. All of it needed to be shot to a consistent standard so the material could be used interchangeably across channels without looking mismatched.

The Results

The final image set delivered a complete visual documentation of the property, treated with the scope and consistency of a pre-opening hotel launch rather than a standard residential shoot. Coverage spanned the full range of the development, exterior architecture, residences, villas, gym, cinema, pool and lobby, captured across both day and sunset conditions to give H&H a flexible library suited to every use case.

That range matters for a mixed-use marketing asset like this. Day shots give clean, accurate representation of interiors and amenity spaces for functional collateral, while sunset coverage of the canal-facing elevation and outdoor amenities provides the atmospheric imagery needed for homepage and campaign use. The consistency across such a wide set of spaces meant H&H had a single cohesive library to draw from across the website and all marketing collateral.
