The latest stunning Nobu Restaurant at One&Only One Za’abeel introduces one of the world’s most recognised dining brands to a defining architectural landmark in Dubai. Located within The Link at One Za’abeel, elevated above the city skyline, the restaurant forms part of a globally significant hospitality development and represents the continued expansion of the Nobu brand around the world.

I was commissioned directly by Kerzner International, this project focused on delivering a complete interior photography collection ahead of the restaurant’s official launch. The imagery was created pre-opening and formed part of the international visual rollout supporting press coverage, digital distribution and brand communications worldwide.

The interiors, designed by award winning interior design firm Rockwell Group, New York, reflect Nobu’s distinctive design language. Refined materiality, controlled lighting and spatial rhythm work in balance to create a composed and immersive dining environment. The space transitions from intimate dining to elevated social setting, framed by panoramic views across Dubai. A spectacular design.

Our role was to interpret this design intent with precision. Each composition was constructed to communicate atmosphere without exaggeration, preserving the integrity of the materials and lighting while ensuring clarity for global media use. The objective was to represent the space accurately and confidently, in alignment with Nobu’s international brand identity.

The Challenge

Delivering imagery for the launch of a globally recognised restaurant required precision and control. The interiors were photographed ahead of opening, meaning the space needed to appear fully realised while still in its pre-operational phase. Every element, from lighting levels to material finish, had to reflect the design intent accurately.

The imagery also needed to align with the visual standard established by Nobu locations worldwide. Consistency with the brand’s global identity was essential, with images required to meet the highest international hospitality standards.

A fast turnaround was necessary to support international launch activity. In addition, the elevated setting within The Link presented a narrow window to capture the correct balance between interior atmosphere and Dubai’s rapidly shifting sunset light.

The Brief

Kerzner International commissioned a comprehensive interior photography collection to support the global launch of Nobu Restaurant at One&Only One Za’abeel. The requirement was to produce a refined and brand-consistent image bank that accurately reflected the design language of the space while aligning with the established visual standard of Nobu locations worldwide.

The imagery needed to communicate atmosphere, material quality and spatial rhythm with clarity, ensuring the interiors were represented with precision and restraint. All images were required to meet the highest global hospitality standards and support international press, digital distribution and long-term brand marketing within a defined launch timeframe.

The Results

A complete interior image collection was delivered within the required timeframe, supporting the restaurant’s international launch activity. The photography captures the relationship between controlled interior lighting and the surrounding skyline, achieved within a limited sunset window at elevation.

The final collection reflects the material richness, spatial rhythm and atmospheric balance defined by Rockwell Group’s design, while maintaining consistency with Nobu’s established global visual identity.

The imagery now supports international press coverage, digital distribution and ongoing brand communications, reinforcing our position as a trusted photography partner for leading hospitality operators and globally recognised interior design firms.
